"After All" At Siemens Sanat

The project "After All" which addresses the last decade of the field of culture, is held at Siemens Sanat as the tenth year activity of the European Cultural Association.

Siemens Sanat welcomes the upcoming culture and art season with a project titled "After All."
Performed in collaboration with the European Cultural Association, which celebrates its tenth year, the project consists of an exhibition and forums.

The project titled "After All" aims at analyzing the current situation and investigating what has been changing in the context of the issues addressed over the past ten years.

Forums, which will be held as part of the project, re-address the main issues of the last decade: "Global Challenges, Cultural Visions," "City, Active Citizenship, Arts and Culture," "Where from, Where to?", "Transformations In Thoughts, Dreams and Daily Life."

European Cultural Association has been gathering individuals and organizations from the field of culture and arts and different sections of the society together in order to develop ideas and discussion that will contribute to the socio-cultural development. For this purpose, the association holds training programs, international forums, conferences, seminars, and art activities. Sinopale, International Sinop Biennial, fourth of which was held in 2012, Europist Culture and Arts Management Program, "European Capitals of Culture: Past, Present, and Future", "Margins of Europe", "Global Challenges, Cultural Visions", "City and Art" are some of the major events held by the association.

Exhibition: "Expansion"
"Despite the multiplicity and abundance of public life elements such as spasm of belonging-identity, publicity, public space, culture, and practice, due to globalization, the common daily life gets more complicated and problematic. For this reason, we have to develop strategies for existing as individuals within these expansions."

"Expansion," an exhibition based on this very problematic, will be opened from September 11 until November 13, 2013. The exhibition is composed of a selection from the works earlier presented at Sinopale International Sinop Biennial. The selection consists of works of 23 artists from 13 countries; Atılkunst, Adrien Tirtiaux, Shilpa Gupta, Mircea Nicolae, Maria Papadimitriou, Róza El-Hassan, Johannes Hoffmann, Johanna Reiner, Isabel Termini, Dejan Kaludjerović, Monali Meher, Nezaket Ekici, Ashley Hunt, Sıtkı Kösemen, Çiğdem Borucu, Amie Dicke, Emre Koyuncuğlu, Daniele Pezzi, Johannes Vogl, Roland Stratmann, Sümer Sayın, Berglind Hlynsdóttir, XsentrikArts.

"After All" is carried out with the collaboration of Siemens Sanat, European Cultural Association, Sinopale, A Soul for Europe, Austrian Cultural Forum, Romanian Cultural Institute Dimitrie Cantemir,, Robert Bosch Stiftung, Satellietgroep, AltArt, Soho in Ottakring, Felix Meritis, European Festivals Association, Eintagsmuseum, Nuova Icona, BM Contemporary Art, Chameleon Design and Project Management, The European House for Culture.
